The plans for the next season of America's Next Top Model (ANTM), a Tyra Banks show should make petites all over the world happy. Ladies shorter than 5'7 now have a chance to be a contestant on the show and make it big in the modeling world. This is a huge break through for petite ladies everywhere who are used to seeing long legged models even in petite advertising. The casting for this show took place in mid town NY and had an overwhelming number of women come to try out. So much so that the situation quickly became chaotic and they had to postpone the auditions for another time.

America's Next Top Model Petite Casting Info:


• In the past, the typical “Top Model” requirement has been that candidates start at 5-foot-7.
• This show will premiere for Top Model Cycle 13
• Each season of America's Next Top Model has from 9-13 episodes and starts with 10-14 contestants.
• Casting is taking place in Florida, NY, Illinois, Texas and California.
• Ages 18-27 can apply

What Tyra said "There have been top supermodels in the past that weren't as tall as the industry demands, like fashion icon Kate Moss," said Banks. "So we are changing up Top Model' for cycle 13 and making it a year for the shorter model!" "
