7 For All Mankind

Check out These Great Petite Jeans from 7forAllManKind

Sometimes shopping for petite jeans can be as stressful as shopping for a swimsuit. But it doesn't have to be. There is a right pair of jeans waiting for you! The right pair of jeans can lengthen your legs, flatten your tummy, lift your butt, and give you curves in all the right places. Here are the petite jean tips.

Tips for Looking Taller

  • You can lengthen your legs with straight leg jeans which creates a longer vertical line that creates an illusion of height.
  • Opt for dark coloured skinny-leg jeans – the slim, long lines create the illusion of height.
  • Try a high-waisted jean styles that lengthen your torso. High waist will make your upper body appear longer. Finish with an amazing pair of heels.
  • Things to avoid: Stay away from cuffed jeans, low waist jeans which both shorten your body.

Looking Curvier

  • A wide waistband and lower pockets with details like buttons and stitching contour and define your behind.

Minimizing Curves

  • If you are short and want to minimize curves, choose a straight, wide-leg trouser cut.
  • Look for jeans without 'extra' button or pockets. Minimal detail is better for minimizing curvers.

For Plus Size Ladies

  • Look for a stretch denim with a fitted waist.
  • Stick to darker washes that have an all-over slimming effect. Many denim manufacturers make a specific style to flatter a shapely butt with a narrower waist.
  • Find out which cut is right for you in the brand you desire.
  • Things to avoid: Light color jeans, tight jeans, baggy jeans

Taking Care of Jeans

  • Once you've found your favorite pair of jeans, you want to take a very good care of them.
  • For best care for your jeans, it is important to follow the care instructions found on the manufacturer’s tag inside each pair of jeans.
  • Here are some basics.
    • Avoid washing your jeans unless they are stained. 5 or more wears is ideal before washing. Plus, jeans will also be softer and easier to wear after several wears.
    • To protect the jeans from fading, it's advisable to wash your jeans inside out When washing new denim, be mindful of other items in the same machine because some dyes can transfer to other clothing.
    • Wash your jeans in warm water, with no bleach.
    • Air-dry them to keep them in mint condition, but if you’re in a hurry, you can tumble dry them on low.
    • Because of the heavy weight of denim, don't wash more than several pairs of jeans in the same washing machine. This may constrict the movement of the wash cycle which may damage the machine.
